Hunt & Mitton's purpose-built factory

located in Jiangsu province has a three-story office building and a manufacturing workshop of 2,000 m². The single storey workshop has two spans allowing it to be easily divided into two independent areas: material processing and a clean area for assembly and testing. From the delivery of castings and forging blanks to the acceptance of complete valves, the advanced 5S management concept has been introduced into the setting and layout of the manufacturing process.

The Nanyang factory began operation in July 2023 in accordance with the 5S management model, and has won unanimous praise from peers in the industry and domestic and foreign agents. As the business continues to grow and expand, the 5S management principals will help the company ensure the quality, efficiency, and environmental protection performance of its products.

The suppliers of key components for Hunt & Mitton valves such as pressure-bearing castings and forgings for bodies and bonnets, bellows, fasteners and seals are all Euro Chlor approved and have obtained ISO 9001: 2015 and PED 2014/68/EU certificates.

Direct reading spectrum testing, universal strength and impact toughness testing, various hardness tests, etc. ensure the physical and chemical properties of the main metal materials and castings and forging blanks entering the factory. Precision measuring instruments including GO/NOGO gauges guarantee the key dimensions of valve parts, laying a solid and consistent foundation for zero leakage of Hunt & Mitton valves. Automatic wire feeding and welding equipment gives a stable performance of bellows seal components. Inspection under the guidance of Euro Chlor specifications and standards maintains process quality management in an orderly manner.

The workshop is equipped with shell strength hydraulic pressure testing equipment, shell underwater high-pressure nitrogen leak testing tanks, ultrasonic cleaning and degreasing equipment, automatic painting lines, and drying furnaces.

In order to adapt to the increasingly stringent technical and quality requirements for bellows seal valves in the special hazardous chemical industry, the workshop has allocated room for a closed dust-free assembly room to be built according to customer's requirements.

Hunt & Mitton's facilities are fully equipped with an annual production capacity of 6,000 valves. In view of the fact that there are still some reserved open spaces in the workshop, HMV will continue to adjust resource allocation and optimize efficiency according to the growing market demand for Euro Chlor bellows sealed globe valves by the hazardous chemical industry. The company's knowledge provides customers with solutions that ensure a continuously improving environment in addition to protecting life and health.
