Colonel James Hunt established James Hunt & Co Ltd to produce steam and water valves.

Hunt & Mitton was established when Thomas Mitton joined the company as chief engineer.

1874

1939

The British Valve and Actuator Association was established. Hunt & Mitton was one of the founding members.

Hunt & Mitton begins to design and manufacture for the hazardous chemical industry.

1950

2010

Hunt & Mitton Valve Company was established in Yancheng and built its first Chinese manufacturing plant in Dafeng.

Hunt & Mitton was approved by Euro Chlor. Out of only five approved organizations, Hunt & Mitton is the only one based outside of Europe and in China.

Our bellows seal globe isolation valve, bellows seal globe control valve, and bellows seal globe actuated valve are all Euro Chlor approved.

Hunt & Mitton relocates to Nanyang for further expansion.

2023 We produced our 7000th bellows seal valve at our Chinese plant.
